Ultimately, my writing is an act of refusal. It is a refusal to be erased by a system that views human experience as a line item. By documenting the "smoke and embers" of what was left behind, I aim to find the point where the "good girl" of expectation ends and the woman of substance begins. My goal is to offer a voice to those who have stood in their own burning houses and chosen, despite the heat, to walk through the front door toward themselves.
